Terms of use

This is the agreement between you and NaashNaash. It is written to be understood rather than to be unarguable, and if any of it reads as though it is trying to catch you out, tell us and we will fix the wording.

NaashNaash is not medical care

Everything in this app — the coach, the articles, the nutrition notes, the pregnancy and baby pages — is general information. It is not a diagnosis, not a prescription, and not a substitute for a doctor, a midwife, a health visitor or a pharmacist who can actually examine you.

Please do not delay getting help because of something you read here. If you are worried about yourself or your baby, contact your health service or emergency number. That is true even when this app has said something reassuring: we are working from what you typed, and the person in front of you is working from you.

The coach will sometimes decline to answer and point you towards a clinician instead. That is not a fault — it is the app knowing the edge of what it should be doing.

Who can join

NaashNaash is for women, aged 16 or over. Every account is checked by hand by a woman on our team. Creating an account for someone else, or misrepresenting who you are to get in, is the one thing here that will end an account immediately and without discussion — the whole product rests on that boundary holding.

It is free

NaashNaash costs nothing to use, and the Quran features will never be paywalled, sold, or used to sell anything. Competitions never involve money staked or won.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself and turn on the second sign-in step if you can. Tell us if you think somebody else has got into your account. You are responsible for what happens through it, but we will not treat you as though a break-in were your fault.

The group rooms

Groups are private spaces between members. What is shared in one stays in it — do not screenshot, repost or repeat another woman's words or pictures outside the room. This is the rule the rooms depend on.

Do not use groups to sell things, to give medical advice as though you were qualified, to shame anybody about her body or her practice, or to harass. Moderators can remove a message, remove a member, or close a room. You can block another member at any time, and a block works in both directions: neither of you sees the other, and she is not told that you did it.

You keep ownership of what you write. You give us only the permission needed to show it to the other members of that room and to store it safely.

Your photographs

The verification photograph is used once, by a person, to confirm this space stays women-only — and then deleted. We do not use it for anything else and we do not use it to train anything.

When an account ends

You can delete yours whenever you like, from Privacy in the app. We may suspend or end an account that breaks the joining rule above, harasses other members, or puts the service or its members at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why.

What we promise, and what we cannot

We will run this service carefully and honestly. We cannot promise it will never be unavailable, never contain a mistake, or suit every person — no service can. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from using the app, and nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else the law does not permit us to limit.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app rather than quietly editing this page.
